Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Earbuds are a great way to get rid of wired headphones. They have a dual storage/charging case, excellent audio quality and offer an appealing solution. However, long-term usage could prove challenging due to fit and design issues and connectivity problems.
The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Earbuds were purchased by us so that our expert reviewer could fully test it and evaluate it. Continue reading to see our complete product review.
The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Earbuds are a great option if you want to switch to wireless sound. The wireless earbuds can be carried anywhere, whether you're at work, on the commute or simply relaxing at home. This product was my primary audio accessory for several days. I have been impressed with its fit and audio quality as well as the battery life.

The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 can be carried around easily. The product comes in an attractive charging and storage box that looks like a packet of floss. It's much more sleek with its smooth silicone construction and easy-to open lid. The earbuds are only 0.32 ounces in weight, so I didn't notice the entire unit.
There are two options for earbuds: stone or black. They are small but they feel like a pair of foam earplugs. These, unlike earplugs were more noticeable than the others and hung out of my ears.

The earbuds are lightweight and portable, but the comfort is not as good. There are three options for silicone tips, as well as a pair memory foam tips. All of the silicone tips I tried were too small for a good seal. This resulted in me feeling that they were not close enough to seal the gap.
They created the most sound and seal, making them perfect for running and walking. However, wearing them even for an hour or so was difficult. The memory foam tips quickly became too stiff for my ears, and they began to loosen even though I didn't move much.
These will appeal to those who value bass, balance, and a relatively high level of sound quality.

Wireless earbuds offer a great deal of freedom, especially for people who enjoy being active and moving without any limitations. The true measure of user-friendliness is the way the buttons work. Everything is on a small area. This was not my preferred way of controlling my audio.
The earbuds were already a little too large so I kept getting reminded every time I tried to press the button functions. I had to practice a lot before I was able to master the volume controls. They require constant pushing and holding. This motion often gave me the feeling that the volume controls were pushing the earbuds deeper into my ears. Tap prompts are required to advance or move backwards in a playlist. These didn't give me the same feeling of sinking. The loud, beeping sound accompanying this prompt was unbearable.
It takes some effort to learn the functions of a voice assistant or making phone calls. The cheat sheet has all the details. You can carry it around with you until you are comfortable using all functions. These extras make what appears to be a straightforward and elegant product feel weighed down.
The Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 is a great choice if you value bass, balance, and a relatively high level of sound quality. These codecs are compatible with most modern mobile phones, including AAC (which you will find on iPhones), as well as SBC and aptX which should produce CD-like sound quality.
This earbuds are a continuation of the 50-year history of Cambridge Audio, a UK manufacturer that makes high-quality audio products. The 5.8 millimeter driver is enriched with graphene. This light, strong material helps to improve clarity in low, middle, and high treble. Although the bass frequencies may not be exceptional, they are certainly impressive. The mid-range frequencies are warm and balanced.
And while there's no active noise canceling behind the scenes, I did find that these earbuds blocked out background street and traffic noise—while both inside and outside—to an adequate degree. These earbuds provide a balanced listening experience that doesn't put too much strain on the wallet.
The battery life of the Melomania 1 is amazing. Cambridge Audio states that they can play music for up to 9 hours on one charge. The box recommends charging the buds for at least 30 minutes after opening it. The earbuds were charged for an hour, but I found that the nine-hour warranty was accurate.
It took the case about 2.25 hours from full charge, which was 25 minutes longer than what the manufacturer claimed. It lasted for over 36 hours after it had been charged. If you listen to a lot of music, these earbuds can last for at least a day.
Melomania 1 supports up to seven devices and Bluetooth 5.0 standards. Although the connection was quick and simple, I experienced signal issues almost with every use. Cambridge Audio claims that the wireless range is approximately 98 feet. However, I was only able to reach about 20 feet before signal loss or signal spottiness occurred. These earbuds were paired to my MacBook Pro. I noticed signal loss and spottiness even when I was using it. Other times there wasn't an issue with connectivity. However, the inconsistent range and inconsistency were disappointing.
The earbuds are lightweight and portable, but the comfort is not as good.
The Melomania 1 is available for as low as $100. This price includes the excellent audio quality, the storage case and self-contained charging/storage that provides incredible battery life. The wireless earbuds market is dominated by players who have spent well above $200.
The Jabra Elite 65T is a comparable model and is cheaper. The Jabra Elite 65T wireless earbuds are available at a price of $150 MSRP. (See Amazon). They only provide 15 hours battery life, but they offer one color and an additional year warranty. The Jabra earbuds offer a greater advantage in terms of fit and microphone. Although I didn’t have much time to test the Melomania 1 microphone mic, I tried one call from the receiver. He reported poor reception.
Jabra Elite 65T features a 4-microphone technology system. This is designed to lower background noise and provide clear vocal quality. Jabra Elite's earbuds have a sleeker design. Earbuds are more fitted in the ears than they protrude outwardly. There are three size options for earbuds, just like the Melomania 1. However, there is no memory foam choice. You may prefer something more discrete if you make lots of calls or like a discreet fit.
Excellent battery life and sound quality. However, comfort and convenience are lacking.
Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 Earbuds offer portability, top-quality battery performance, and excellent audio quality. These strengths are not without their weaknesses. There is also general discomfort issues and a poor microphone. You might feel comfortable using the earbuds and not experience any of these problems for a relatively low price. If you are looking for a good microphone and a comfortable earbud fit, you might consider looking at wired and wireless earbuds.
