Vibes High Fidelity Earplugs have the best designearplugs. Although the trend towards multi-tiered silicone earplugs is almost complete, Vibes decided to stick with a bud-style design, giving you many options for comfort and fit. The earplugs offer a good level of sound attenuation and come with several silicone tips. They also include a carrying case.
Although there are some flaws in both the overall package quality and the feel of the plugs themselves, they are solid if attenuation is your priority. Find out what they did in our tests.

The appearance of the earplug in your ears is a key factor. The majority of higher-end earplugs are designed to blend in with your ears, almost disappearing once you place them. Although the Vibes are not too noticeable, they do stand out more than we expected. They are essentially the same shape and size as in-ear headphones, but without wires.
Another odd design choice is the clear barrel-shaped shaft housing and filter. The silicone tips are solid white. Vibes stands out among all the other clear earplugs. However, this is a bit annoying as they are prone to collecting dirt or earwax. The entire earplug measures just over 1 in. in length. This is a fair amount, and you won't see much of it sticking out.
Although the Vibes are not overtly noticeable, they do stand out more than expected. They are roughly the same shape and size as an in-ear pair of earbuds but without wires.

Vibes are a different style than standard, silicone-cone-shaped earplugs. Although this is a great improvement in sound blocking, it will mean that you may have to sacrifice some comfort. Lighter plugs can be worn for longer periods of time and disappear almost instantly.
You can feel the Vibes in your ears, pressing down on them. You can choose from a variety of sizes, which is great because you will have choices if your ears grow larger or smaller. This will probably work for you if you're okay with silicone tips pushing into your ears like headphones. However, we find that softer and lighter single-component designs are better for prolonged use.

From a construction perspective, these earplugs feel very solid. Although the filter-housing cylindrical is very rigid and strong (Vibes refers to it as 'glass-clear,' but it feels more like a plastic solid), silicone tips feel soft and flexible. This was an excellent choice. Earplugs made of all-silicone or soft silicone tend to be more fragile and breakable. Although you do have to sacrifice comfort, we believe these plugs will last much longer.
Filter-housing Cylinder is very rigid and strong (Vibes refers to it as 'glass-clear,' but it feels more like a plastic solid), while silicone tips feel soft and flexible.
You can also swap out different tips. The idea is to choose the best silicone tip for your ears. However, you can also swap out tips in case the old ones get too dirty. This is combined with Vibes' lifetime guarantee, which gives you a solid pair of plugs. They weigh in at around half an ounce. However, this adds to their durability.
Some background information about earplugs. While most foam plugs are great at blocking out sound, they can be too harsh in the middle and high ends. You'll lose the natural sound of your music and it will be muffled in strange, unnatural ways. This is not an issue if you use earplugs to sleep or in loud areas. However, if you are using them for music loud, it can cause you to lose some of your listening enjoyment. Vibes headphones have a filter built into the shaft to help smoothen out this spectrum. This gives you a more natural sounding EQ. This was true in our testing for loud concerts. They are some of the most accurate when representing a sound spectrum.
The package came in a middle-of-the-road category compared with other earplugs. The case is small at two inches in width. We found it to be quite breakable and fragile. The case didn't have a keychain option. Earplugs can be easy to forget. A keychain is an alternative. The package includes three sizes of eartips. This will allow you to find the perfect fit and ensures that you always have a replacement silicone tip. It's not a fancy package, but there aren't any gimmicks.
Foam eartips can be purchased for as little as $10, while a pair of reusable ones like these will cost you around $30. These earplugs are only $20, which is a nice price. We bought them on Amazon for just $23. Although it might seem small, most of the competitors in this same category will cost you between $28-30. This makes $23 a great deal for what you get. These earplugs have a very basic function of blocking out sound. The lifetime warranty should ensure that your investment will last a lifetime.
Vibes plugs use a filter inside the shaft to flatten out this spectrum. This gives you a more natural sounding EQ. This worked well for concerts loud and was one of our favorites when it came to reproducing a sound spectrum. However, the plugs were quieter.
Eargasm High Fidelity Earplugs (View on Amazon). The Eargasm option offers you, our view, a better, more natural sound-blocking experience but at a fair price.
Brison Hi Fi Earplugs (View on Amazon). Brison offers a $20 option that includes more accessories but is a bit cheaper.
HiFi Earplugs (View on Amazon). For a little more you can have more comfort and the option to pair them with a dB-reading application.
We were pleasantly surprised by these earplugs. We were not sure if we would love the way they feel. This helped lower the dB and did it in an even, natural manner. If you are looking for earplugs to make your concert experience more quiet and not as muddy, this is a huge deal. Regular concert-goers will find these essential.
